NZCETA offers members the opportunity to apply for two annual awards.
The Pearson Begg Award is offered by Pearson Publishers in recognition of Rewa Begg OBE, past Life Member of NZCETA, who died in 1988. The award allows for the recipient to register for a seminar, conference or course; undertake some research or survey; develop knowledge or skills; or prepare resources.
The ACETA Travel Award is to cover all or part of the costs of overseas travel while the recipient is engaged in activity likely to improve their knowledge or abilities in the field of commerce and economics education. The funding for this award comes from the interest received on surplus income from the ninth ACETA conference held in Christchurch in 1978.
